Littleton Fire Damaged School
A fire broke out in a trash bin outside of a chemistry classroom causing a smelly, sooty mess. The students were evacuated as we were called in to clean up the smoke damaged hallway. We immediately set up many hydroxyl generators to chemically change the pungent, odorous, smoke particulates. We realized the need to quickly restore IAQ, indoor air quality, to an acceptable level. Using vacuums, then sponges-both wet and dry--to wipe down the ceiling and walls was an easy task for our skilled technicians. We completed the service with a thermal fogging to route out any hidden smoke odors. The chemistry teacher used the hydroxyl radical as a teaching point in the next day's class.
