Smokey Kitchen Fire in Englewood

These cherished plates were located near the source of a kitchen fire in Englewood, CO. The soot is so thick you can't tell what is on the decorative plates. Our SERVPRO of West Littleton/Sheridan crews cleaned and restored them to their former beauty! We used special cleaning agents from our large warehouse to safely remove the residues without damaging the images. Ironically, the "Gone with the Wind" plate depicts the raging flames in the background. Luckily, our customer's house was not as severely burnt, and we cleaned up the kitchen in one day. Grease fires, known to leave stains and odors, are typically the result of a splash. Keep a Class B fire extinguisher handy, under the sink, for just such an emergency.
